Being part of such and amazing moment is why I love what I do. Not only do I get to be with my clients on the most important day of their lives, but sometimes, when I am really lucky, I get to witness the moment when they decide to spend their lives together.
Jason did a great job creating a cover story for our photo shoot. The couple showed up to their portrait session in Playa Del Rey with the thought of just getting a few photos to decorate the house. Jason and I had planned a cue, and when I backed up and put them in a pose holding hands, he knew it was time to pop the question! Diana’s reaction was priceless! Jumping for joy and oozing joy! She could not stop jumping, and smiling and staring at her BEAUTIFUL ring that Jason did a superb job designing.
They celebrated by popping some champagne, and after the sun went down, they were off to get ready for their surprise trip to Cabo! I feel so lucky to have gotten to spend this amazing moment with these to and can’t wait to see what a beautiful wedding they will have!
I’ve been wanting to photograph an in home couples session for a while now. There is something about photographing a couple where they are most comfortable that is very intimate and personal. Stephanie and Loui were the perfect couple for a cozy, in home session. Their favorite pastime is cooking together (well maybe Stephanie watching Loui cook!) and drinking wine on the couch. Stephanie’s eye for style and interior decorating has yielded the cutest boho chic home with the perfect light which made for a relaxing and fun session!

The ambiance of Pine Rose Weddings has a quaint and rustic charm that gives you the warm and fuzzies. You are in your own mountainous wonderland! It’s gorgeous outdoor ceremony and reception area has a natural wood arch, and a tranquil view of a natural spring. You could not ask for a more beautiful mountain wedding venue!
These two beautiful people were such a blast to shoot with! Not only are they GORGEOUS, but they are so in love and it showed through our entire Laguna Beach anniversary session. I love letting loose with couples and really having fun and frolicing on the beach at sunset. I mean, what better place to be right?! Ashley and David are Orange County locals, and I have had the pleasure of working side by side with Ashley as she is the owner and lead planner of Monge Amore Events.

When Kim and Felipe told me their idea for a New Orleans Engagement Session I jumped out of my seat! What an amazing reason to travel to one of America’s coolest cities! New Orleans has special meaning to these two, as they have visited there many times, and love exploring all the city has to offer. They had such great ideas of where to shoot, and came to the session looking absolutley fabulous! I was obsessed with Kim’s red dress that really added a pop of color and stood out with the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street. We started our session at Audubon Park, which features the “The Tree of Life”, a beautiful historic oak tree with whimsical spanish moss hanging from its branches.
Our second location, of course was the iconic French Quarter! The unique and historic architecture, combined with the afternoon light was a dream. The tunes of street musicians were our soundtrack as we strolled the French Quarter, stopping at lafitte’s blacksmith shop, the absinthe house, and Jackson square. This whole session was a dream and I can’t wait to see Kim and Felipe tie the knot next year!

I love when couples bring their all to a shoot! Libby and Jeremy were looking soooo elegant in this Newport Beach engagement session at a gorgeous Crystal Cove restaurant. We wanted classic arched architecture with an stylish flare. After some brainstorming, we decided to contact local restaurants. Finding new and different locations is one of my favorite ways to make a session unique! We went for a moody and dramatic tone for this portion of the session, which translated into movie poster quality images!
Next, we hiked down to the beach for a more casual airy look. Heisler Park in Laguna beach not only has a beautiful rocky coastline, but also offers a gorgeous lush park for a different look. Libby and Jeremy were a bit nervous at first about being in front of the camera, but as you can see, came to have a blast during their Laguna Beach Engagement Session and looked flawless!
I CAN NOT wait to be with them in Cabo for their wedding in a few short months!
I met Matt and Nisha on a short vacation after a little work trip down to Cancun, Mexico. My hubby and I decided to take some time and explore Tulum, Mexico. It was everything we had hoped for. A relaxed beach town with eco friendly establishments, gorgeous beaches and a town with tons of fun and nightlife. We met Nisha and Matt while bonding over our music taste at a local happy hour. After we talked for a bit we found out that they were looking to shoot there Engagement session in Tulum, since it is somewhere they have been together a few times. It was kismet! We set the session for the next day and it could not have been more fun! They didn’t want the typical beach scene, which is what most people would opt for in Mexico. Instead, they were drawn to the town, with its Mexican architecture and vibrant colors. We spent the afternoon wandering around the town, getting chased by local street dogs and finished it all with a cold margarita. Such a fun way to spend an afternoon exploring a new and different culture. Congrats guys!
